All integrations

Bloom AI + Moodle

Bloom integrates with Moodle as an LTI 1.3 external tool, appearing as an activity within any course. Teachers add a Bloom activity the same way they add a quiz or assignment. Because Moodle is open-source and often self-hosted, our team works directly with your Moodle administrator to configure the integration for your specific environment.

How it works

1

Contact the Bloom team

Let us know your Moodle version, hosting setup (cloud or self-hosted), and which courses will use Bloom. We will provide the LTI 1.3 configuration details for your environment.

2

We configure the external tool

Our team works with your Moodle administrator to register Bloom as an LTI 1.3 external tool in Site Administration, handling the tool URL, client ID, and keyset configuration.

3

Teachers add Bloom as a course activity

Teachers add Bloom to their course as an External Tool activity. Each activity links to a specific Bloom subject, so a single course can include multiple Bloom instances for different topics.

Key capabilities

Activity-level integration

Bloom appears as a standard Moodle activity. Teachers place it alongside quizzes, forums, and assignments in the course layout, giving students a clear path to AI learning support within their course.

Open-source compatible

Works with self-hosted Moodle instances on version 3.9 and above, as well as Moodle Cloud. No proprietary plugins or server modifications are required.

Managed setup

Our team configures the LTI connection for your Moodle instance, whether it is self-hosted on your infrastructure or running on Moodle Cloud.

Deploy Bloom with Moodle

Our team can walk you through the setup process and help configure Bloom for your institution.
