Bloom has four plan families: Free, Educator Plus, Growth (in four sizes: 30, 100, 250, 500), and Enterprise. They differ on three things that matter most: how many staff and students you can bring in, how much advanced AI usage each user gets per week, and which trust and integration features (SSO, white-label, custom data agreements) are available. The right plan is usually the smallest one that covers your actual roster.
How Bloom plans are structured
Every plan attaches to a Teaching Space (your department, faculty, or school). The space has its own seat counts, billing, and limits. Inside the space, users are split into two seat types:
- Staff seats, used by anyone with the educator or manager role on a Bloom, or the spaceOwner role on the Teaching Space.
- Student seats, used by everyone else.
Growth plans cap both staff and students separately. Educator Plus charges per staff seat and lets students use the platform under Free tier limits. Free has hard ceilings on both. Pick the plan that matches the larger of your two seat counts.
Step 1: Start with Free
Free is for educators exploring AI with a single class. There is no credit card required, and you can upgrade later without losing your Blooms or conversation history.
- Core AI tutor with pedagogical guardrails.
- Teaching Assistant mode with 30+ educator tools.
- 1 active AI-powered quiz per Bloom.
- Limited access to advanced AI models (Smart Selection only).
- FERPA, COPPA, GDPR, and Australian Privacy Principles compliant.
Step 2: Educator Plus for individual teachers
Educator Plus is priced per staff seat (USD $15 per staff seat per month, billed in your local currency). It is the cheapest way to get full AI usage for one or two teachers without committing to a department-wide plan.
- 1,000 weekly AI messages and 100 Deep Think messages for staff (students stay on Free tier limits).
- Unlimited knowledge base.
- Unlimited AI-powered quizzes.
- Full analytics & insights for staff.
Pick this if you have up to 3 staff and your students are on the Free tier of usage. If your students need more than the Free tier of weekly messages, jump to Growth.
Step 3: Growth tiers for departments
Growth is a fixed monthly price with separate caps for staff and students. There are four sizes, and you pick the smallest one that fits your roster:
- Growth 30: 3 staff, 30 students.
- Growth 100: 10 staff, 100 students.
- Growth 250: 15 staff, 250 students.
- Growth 500: 25 staff, 500 students. Starts at USD $150 per month for the entry tier.
Every Growth tier includes:
- 1,000 weekly AI messages and 100 Deep Think messages per user (students included, not just staff).
- Full AI model library with manual selection (OpenAI, Google, Microsoft).
- Your data never used for improvement by default.
- Priority in-app & email support.
Step 4: Enterprise for institutions
Enterprise is for whole institutions, multi-campus deployments, or anyone who needs SSO, LMS integration, or a signed data agreement. Pricing is custom. Contact hi@bloom.study to scope it.
Enterprise adds, on top of everything in Growth:
- Single Sign-On (SSO) via SAML and OIDC.
- LMS integration via LTI 1.3 (Clever, Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, and others).
- White-label branding with custom logo, colours, domain, and naming.
- Custom data agreements (DPA, BAA) and granular content moderation control.
- Dedicated success manager with Slack, Teams, or phone support.
- Implementation & onboarding support, plus product co-design and research partnership options.

Common issues
I have more students than my plan allows
You will see a banner on your dashboard, and new students cannot join until you are back within the limit. Either upgrade to the next Growth tier or remove inactive students from the Users section in the Teaching Space dropdown.
I picked Educator Plus, but my students need more usage
Educator Plus students inherit Free tier message limits. If your students hit the weekly cap, the fix is to move to Growth, where the 1,000 weekly message and 100 Deep Think allowance applies to every user, not just staff.
I need SSO or LMS integration but I am on Growth
Both are Enterprise-only features. Contact hi@bloom.study to scope an Enterprise plan. SSO supports SAML 2.0 and OIDC; LMS integration uses LTI 1.3.
The button on the pricing page says “Manage Subscription” instead of “Upgrade”
That means you are already on that plan. Click it to open the Stripe billing portal where you can update payment details or cancel.
